Über mich: Taha Yunus ERDEMLI
Wer kann heute noch schön von Hand schreiben? Was früher Ausdruck von Respekt, persönlicher Note und Stil war, übernimmt heute meistens der Computer. Nicht so bei Taha Yunus Erdemli: Wenn er sich an eine Schrift macht, dann kann man förmlich zusehen wie die Buchstaben zu Kunst werden. Denn er übt, schreibt und experimentiert leidenschaftlich mit der Kunst des Schönschreibens. Geboren ist er in Riad, der Hauptstadt Saudi Arabiens. Aufgewachsen und gelebt hat er darauf in den weltoffenen und lebendigen Städten der Türkei, Izmir und Istanbul. Seit 2005 lebt der Kalligraph nun in der Schweiz.

“Practice makes the master” says again and again Taha Yunus Erdemli, who started performing the art of calligraphy during his high school years. Expressing himself more than just with words since then he has been writing and decorating in various calligraphic forms. He was born in Saudi Arabia, grew up in Turkey and has been living, studying and working in Switzerland since 2005. He learnt and practiced calligraphy with the Latin alphabet, whereas the oriental touch played always a significant role.
